Terrible picture they've chosen for the box art. It makes it look as though it populates about 4 slots.

I'm not sure how much of a market there is for silent graphics cards now. Most CPUs come with built-in GPUs for HTPC use and for those who do want to game there's plenty of near silent solutions now, which will probably cost a good bit less than this.

This would only tempt me to install 2x120mm fans underneath and 2x120mm fans above it, just to see how far I could cool this thing on only air, which defeats the whole purpose of buying one! The last time I bought a silent passively cooled GPU was on an old Asus 8600GT back in the day, but that thing ran so hot that it put me off for life.

Always good to see more diversity in low end GPU coolers - remember last gen when everything came in a dual slot package with at least 2 fans?

I bought a passive Gigabyte HD4850 and it always ran hot. Despite using an Arctic cooling cooler, the card died eventually. These days I go for Factory cooling. MSi have decent coolers and none of the cards are yet to fail for me

Is there really a market for passive cooling now? with most cards now a days only spinning there fans at say 60 degs they are silent until heat becomes a problem.

There might be a few people out there like people recording music who want reasonably capable but completely silent machines.

But otherwise I agree, my R9 380 and the wife's RX 480 are both semi passive. When the fans do come on, they are only audible during times like boss battles where frankly I am too engrossed to care
