So exciting its coming out soon, cant wait to play this game. i'm trying not to watch any videos so i can just play and see it all for my self. Already a Day one patch ? and this has only gone Gold in the last few days. i'm tempted to wait another 2 months before i play it until they've fixed all the bug in it.
Absolutely loved the Mass Effect games!!!!
So, 55GB.... Hey, that's only about 2½ days of continual download on my connection. How awesome is that, eh!!
Bit worried that my system is already starting to fall below recommended specs, though, especially as my CPU is suddenly so naff..... Then again, I'm still only in 1080, so I doubt it'll be that much below 20fps!!

Me too I recently played all 3 of them and it was great. 55Gb is fine .. better than 101gb for Gears of war 4 LOL from the Xbow store. i hope they carried over some of the nice bits from the older games
The videos that have been released to promote this game focus on a 3rd person shooting game, perhaps they have forgotten the Mass Effect franchise is primarily an RPG genre game with the odd combat section in it.
hopefully there is some RPG elements in there. It will be very dissapointing if this game is mostly 3rd person shooting with a story that can be completed in less that a day.
You can probably go through just the main campaign in less than 24 hours if you speed through skipping everything, but it was almost like that with everything else - Skyrim, Borderlands, Dragon Age, etc.
Every one of the MEs took me weeks of playtime, and that's just the first playthrough.
What makes a computer game RPG, though?
I thought Dragon Age was RPG as it's like D&D, whereas ME is a bit more like an interactive movie or TV series. I'm sure they're mainly showcasing the pretty for now, ie the guns and powers, but I've always found these games to be exceedingly rich in story, too, with some truly awesome characters.
I never quite got the hang of directing team mates or combining things with them, but they were always great to have along for the ride!

Not buying any EA affiliated game again, sorry Bioware you lost me as a customer when turned to the dark side... or rather to a place where it is more for the shareholders, quick bucks than the actual players.
Maybe should take lectures from Square Enix?
I've only played Mass Effect One and thoroughly enjoyed it. This one looks fantastic too and I'll definitely be getting it.
I have always preferred the RPG elements. It was what got me into gaming in the first place.
