Re: Corsair K63 tenkeyless gaming keyboard launched

I've started doing some proper testing on Cherry switches, and my initial observations are shocking. Just in 1 day of use I captured over 50 unwanted keystrokes (Corsair K65 RGB) and this is not a Corsair firmware issue - it happened on 4 boards by different manufacturers both browns and reds.

The test I am doing is when a key outputs an extra unwanted keystroke (or more) within 50ms of the first. You can clean out the switch to fix the problem but it always comes back eventually on the same or other keys. These are supposed to be industrial level switches but they can't handle a slight amount of dust?

I'm convinced these are the worst switches in the industry. How do other people not experience this issue?

I can only assume it's the switches unless Logitech, Ducky, Corsair and Coolermaster all have the same firmware problems. I've tested them on multiple computers too with and without their respective softwares installed. Yet despite all this I can find very little mention of this issue on the internet, maybe most people don't notice the occassional keychatter but it drives me nuts. I'm currently using a G810 with Romer-G switches and I've yet to have this problem... fingers crossed.

Re: Corsair K63 tenkeyless gaming keyboard launched

I get these extra key presses only on one key, my keyboard is the Stealseries 7G (Chherry black). Too be fair this keyboard is a number of year's old now & is built like a tank !

Funny hhow it's affected a key that's not used as muchh as other keys like the WASD or space bar ?

HHave you guessed what my extra stepping Cherry is yet ? lol

Looks like it doesn't have a wrist rest like the K65 ?

Is it me, or are we always limited to red-only or full RGB. I've got a blue light theme in my case, so no interest in red. (Though I suppose red is kinder on the eyes wrt strain.)
