New beta Pascal drivers are on the way to Mac users later this month, says Nvidia. It will be the first time Mac users have access to "the immense horsepower delivered by our award-winning Pascal-powered GPUs,"
    But only over thunderbolt lol

Re: Nvidia launches the Titan Xp, available now for $1,200

Just when everyone'd started using XP to refer to the second titan X, they go and make everything confusing again. AMD may rebrand cards, but they never re-card names.

Also, it must really suck for anyone who was foolish enough to buy a titan X a month ago - first the 1080ti, now this

I was thinking the same thing, Nvidia's response to people redubbing the Titan X Pascal to Titan XP is to release a new Titan and call it the Xp, right as things were getting less confusing. There you have it though, not the first time Nvidia has made some weird naming choices.

as much as i hope but AMD is all about hype and then disappointment, so i stopped being optimistic about their VEGA especially after Ryzen fu.ck up, well Ryzen was expected to wipe Intel but in gaming it is still behind, yah i do understand the optimization and this stuff but still it is behind in terms of single core performance, is Ryzen bad? no it is now, it doubles the core performance from its predecessor which is the plan for AMD and they succeeded in it.

Now back to Vega, Nvidia is like 1 generation ahead, Vega will be matching or alittle bit better (HOPEFULLY) than pascal, but think again, Volta is just around the corner, so Nvidia will counter Vega with their Volta and ruin the party for AMD, this what happens when you get behind, AMD need to be 2 generation ahead to get back in the game but this is far from reality unfortunately.

Not really a supporter of either brand but going with what is best when have to buy something or lives up to the standards 4K gaming is a myth and technically AMD offer very good and cheap alternatives where Nvidia is all about power power and power.

I agree AMD hype their products too early and then upon release it's a bit lacklustre. But I'd say zen is a success; it's actually competitive.

I thought with AMD helping develop and use new tech like hmb 2 they're far from being behind. But then I was expecting it's release in early Q1 this year.

Clearly Vega is "just around the corner". Maybe Nvidia are a touch worried and want to empty peoples wallets first.
