Feels like the first step towards a light bending "invisibility" suit
But first, get my car sprayed in this.

I see many arguments and insurance refusals in your future... plus a huge bill for the necessary vacuum treating part!!

Haha, did you see who drove off from the petrol station without paying?
Err it was kinda a silhouette of a Citroen :)

Most handy for just the number plate...
Re: Improved Vantablack's blackness is too dark to be measured
oh my that mask clip is weird. Can you imagine wearing that mask at halloween? You'd freak people out and no mistake. Just don't sell it to any would-be bank robbers...

Makes me think of that ship from the Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Can I apply Vantablack to my car?
Though this would undoubtedly result in an amazing looking motor, unfortunately the limitations of Vantablack in respect of direct impact or abrasion would make this an impractical proposition for most people. It would also be incredibly expensive.

I dont know why people think this would look awesome. The blackness asorbs the light, it would make the car look like a featureless blob.

Yes, but then you add accent lighting along the relevant lines, almost Tron style, and make it look awesome!!!

The concept sounds fantastic, but accent lighting would be absorbed.... You would just see individual glows from whatever light source you choose.

I think maybe it was humour rather than a serious idea
Re: Improved Vantablack's blackness is too dark to be measured

Accent, as opposed to panel, spot or area/flood.
So replace trim strips and inlay strips into body panel gaps, for example. In a sense, it's almost wireframe, but done differently. Highly illegal, but you get to be Automan!!!
