Re: QOTW: Which graphics card is in your PC?

Custom 4k laptop with a GTX 1070. I very nearly went with a 1080 (this was before the Ti was an option and therefore before the price drop), but it didn't seem worth the outlay for a card that wouldn't quite handle 4k. I figured I'd use 1080p res for now, or 1440p through the second monitor, and maybe get one of those Thunderbolt graphics card enclosures in the years to come.

Although I didn't plan to be gaming in 4k, even the 1070 performs much better than I expected and often manages 60fps+. I guess it helps that I can easily turn off AA on such a small screen.

    Intel HD Graphics 4600.

Upgrading when RX 480 or RX 580 is $250 and not $450 in my country.

MSI GTX 970 even with an aftermarket backplate it sags like nothing on earth. Nice card otherwise.

Re: QOTW: Which graphics card is in your PC?

Inno3d GTX1070 iChill Air Boss X3. Cracking card and boosts to 2012mhz out of the box. I got it with the intention of upgrading my monitor to a 2560x1440 Gsync screen and then the prices went through the roof so I can no longer justify the expense.

EVGA 980Ti ACX Superclocked.....It's still doing well, but Vega/Volta may be enough to tempt me to upgrade if the prices aren't too ridiculous.

4GB 290x watercooled. Still plays everything at 1440p but am still tempted to upgrade to vega depending what it brings to the table and the price and when the waterblocks become available for it.

GTX 1060 6GB. Keeping this for 2-3 years (probably 3). Next PC upgrade will be CPU, RAM & motherboard.

Re: QOTW: Which graphics card is in your PC?

Rog 1080 Strix gaming version, not using the RGB as i can't see inside the case where it sits but i find the semi-passive option is a plus. Nice cool card even when i'm hammering it with 4K. And when i play Hearthstone @ 4K it stays in passive mode

Another EVGA 1070 FTW. Seemed a decent buy at the time and could not justify spending more.
    Live long and prosper.

I actually have a HD 3450 and an 8400GS kicking around somewhere, but neither is currently in a PC. The only machine I own that has discrete graphics right now is sporting a GeForce GTX 750 - my other machines are all running AMD IGPs (except my Bay Trail tablet, that is ).

I'm in desperate need of an upgrade but i will for Vega/Volta because it's not worth for me to waste my money on rx 580/gtx 1060 when both Vega and Volta are so close .

Just wait for the 1180/2080 Ti if you do Volta. We all know at this point nvidia is hell bent on launching a 80 Ti similar to the titan of that generation.

    Palit GeForce GTX750Ti 2Gb KalmX

Not a powerful card by any means, but fine for World of Tanks. Also completely passive, which along with my passive PSU makes for a very quiet system indeed

Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 980 Ti. Currently away on an RMA, worked great until it didn't.
