will they get special training in how to annoy customers and talk complete gibberish when asked a simple technical question and offer £100 hdmi cables that give better picture quality?
"a winning combination for customers,"
Utter marketing crap. It's about the ££££ and that's it.

Bojack had a gag about AOL-Time Warner-Pepsico-Viacom-Halliburton-Skynet-Toyota-Trader Joe’s, but now we're going to have a TescoCurrysPcWorldDixonsCarphoneWarehouse
Free TV with every kilo of Fillet Steak.
To me this seems more like Tesco winding down it's eletronics business. Never a good thing for us consumers.
Not really. I see it as a sign of a struggling business where the days of when people go to a single supermarket for their groceries are long gone. The Tesco Extra in Woolwich, London shared their shop space with Dorothy Perkins 18 months ago.Tesco's move could be seen as a reaction to Sainsbury's acquisition and integration of Argos stores within its own larger supermarkets.
I think it maybe just the case that they can make money from rent easier than selling certain items.
To me they are becoming more like supermarkets you see in Japan with other businesses operating inside them. Essentially becoming mini malls.
Yep this sounds like the sort of route they are taking - Asda have supercuts/mcdonalds inside their larger stores now, sainsburys have argos, they all have opticians/phone stores/dentists/timpsons/costa/starbucks and the like in various stores. PCWorld is a good match for tesco in many ways if you look at it from the point of view of adding further ranges and the tech support to sell them. Yes Tesco do well selling TVs, own brand toasters and kettles etc as they don't need much selling or explaining. Selling a laptop however tends to do so - particularly if you want someone to spend more than £300. I'd expect they are not selling many laptops at all outside of the sale/clearance weeks. There is easily enough floorspace in my local extra to fit this sort of concession in without giving up much of what they already have.
Good move to be honest especially if they offer a click and collect service - not that I order much from Currys/PCW but they do occasionally have good deals and it would be useful to have another collection point.
Oh goodie .... one of my least favourite stores inside one of my even less favourites. I can not go in to Tesco, which I don't anyway, and thereby get a BOGOF.
Win-win, if you ask me.
