Re: Gigabyte reveals world's smallest GTX 1080 graphics card
running comfortably at 90 degrees Celsius?
Re: Gigabyte reveals world's smallest GTX 1080 graphics card
Yeah if this runs cooler than the reference I will be amused.
Re: Gigabyte reveals world's smallest GTX 1080 graphics card
1080 is a great card, but that little fan had better be a monster at cooling especially if they advertise it as being OC friendly.

radeon r9 290 cards run at those kind of temps- i haven`t had any problems with them.
of course it means you have to keep an eye on your case airflow tho`.

Pre-empting RX Nano (not yet even announced) But it doesn't really have anywhere to slot in now.
This GTX will be sly high in price
Re: Gigabyte reveals world's smallest GTX 1080 graphics card
just asking here but could it be a 1080 that be clocked for a laptop ? if they can cool it in a laptop I would think that cooler would work np ? I don't know what a 1080 is clocked in a laptop or whats normal for desktop ?
Re: Gigabyte reveals world's smallest GTX 1080 graphics card
Zotac already had a compact GTX 1080 but this one is comparatively smaller
Re: Gigabyte reveals world's smallest GTX 1080 graphics card
I'd wait for reviews showing temps first to be safe

Aye it's about 21cm so not really as 'mini' as the name suggests but it has two fans.
I've just picked one up for my matx case, really impressed actually, never gets above mid 60's which is a temperature I'd rather have in a small case.
