Windows sure is getting bloated in its old age, i wonder how many people actually use even a third of what's included in Windows these days.
Windows Mixed Reality. Headsets from the likes of Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo will ship to coincide with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update launch.
Didn't they say that about the original Creators Update?

I cant work out microsoft any more? 3d printing app and vr app
Both these need expensive hardware to even use so why not put them into the windows store for people that can afford it and stop hogging everyone elses hard drive up?.
I am hoping I can completely avoid the original creators update and update to this from Anniversary Edition. Possible?

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)
I just want windows 10 to be standalone,
NO BLOATED CRAP SOFTWARE no office, no Cortana, no BING.
I want to install my own software not Microsoft Bloatware. Give users of windows a choice
oh and take out the spyware,
Seriously? Windows 10 is a fraction of the size of Windows 7, I'd consider your remark uninformed trolling.
It's more what they're stripping out that people either neither want to lose or what they are replacing it with. Most of the features are apps, some mandatory and some optional, a few premium.
If they can sort the drivers out and the now meaningless WHQL labelling then it'd be a winner. It's a mess of OEM, generic and WU conflicts that cause the majority of issues.
Plus the jarring switches between UIs is only still at the 'somewhat blunted' stage. Modern UI should just work already, get your finger out MS!! The Control Panel is still there and required, just no longer front and centre.
No it's not, Microsoft themselves say the hard disk space requirement for both OS's are the same at 20GB, although i find it strange that you assumed bloated only means the size something takes up on the storage device, there are many types of bloated such as running unneeded services, processes, and pretty much anything that's excessive in size or amount.
Speaking of trolling I'd consider someone who misinterprets what some said and then accuses them of being uninformed are themselves attempting to troll, or at least being very belligerent.
easy people, it's only the internet. We'll never all agree. Handbags down and breathe...
I for one am happy to see the advances that keep being included.
Now, if only they could sort their QA out.....2 years to fix multi-channel audio over HDMI is a bit rich, even for the most staunch supporter...

I still feel that two releases per year is to many. for me windows 10 has largely been a positive experience. the only things which have annoyed me so far are to do with updates. In one of the earlier builds of windows 10 windows decided to restart itself because I went afk but ignored the fact that I had vmware workstation open with a vm running. A couple of weeks ago windows decided to update my graphics driver when I was using my computer so suddenly my left monitor went blank and then my second monitor flickered which is when I realised what was going on. I had to manually restart as it didnt tell me when it has finished and without the restart I couldn't get my left monitor working. to avoid this again I have installed geforce experience so that does the updates and warns me first.
While the idea of having one update per month for security and bug fixes sounds good it can cause issues. I had to block the patch for two months last year due to getting 2fps in games rather than 60fps.
I do wonder how long it will be until Microsoft remove the control panel as it is still somewhat of a jarring experience switching between the two.
