I keep misreading this headline as "Microsoft makes quantum compiler", and wondering exactly how that would work....

I mean, in the article it says they are working on a quantum computing programming language so, yeah, they are making a quantum compiler I guess?

I did wonder if it filled your hard drive with all possible programs on the basis that the right one is in there somewhere....

Alternatively it could just sample the internet in the hope that a trace of the correct program has passed through the pipe at some point in history. #homeopathic_computing

Isn't homeopathic computing where you have only one byte of a program that is designed to do the opposite of what you want, but mysteriously manages to do whatever you want it to do?

I guess you could go one further and use quantum homoepathic computing, where you could just ask a grain of sand the answer....
