As flat as a flat thing that's flat from flatland.
Flat. If I had space for something bigger than 24" then I guess I might look at curved monitors
This is where bendable tech comes in, I would like to use curved for gaming or watching movies alone, but for desktop usage and watching movies with others then it has to be flat.
When they bring out an affordable bendable monitor that gives me the best of worlds, that is when I will find myself using a curved monitor (sometimes).
Flat!
Flat of course, I don't see the point on curved screens apart from the "wow" factor.
The benefit of a curved screen is only seen if its full so for looking at Hexus its pretty pointless as on my curved Samsung it sits bang in the middle only filling a third of the screen.
On some forums i use which automatically fill the entire screen the slight curve does make a difference and of course with either two or three different things open side by side its a big plus have the curve.
What would be a good question of the week is would Hexus viewers like the automatic ads that pop up on a tablet or phone turned off by default.
I like both flat and curved, but it depends on the usage.
I like curved for ultra wide like my 21:9 PG348Q
But if it's 16:9 I prefer flat like my PG279Q
flat.
I'm sure we've been here before..

The view-frustum in games isn't curved either, so why would my monitor be?
Concave or convex?
(theres a follow up to that line, but its NSFW )

I have the 27" Dell P2715Q and I wish it was curved! I love it greatly, but the edges do seem that bit too far away compared to the middle and being curved would remedy that I imagine (I've never used a curved screen).
Flat, I had a curved 14" monitor back in the mid 90's and I can honestly say I prefer my current 27" flat screen monitor.
Being an ignoramus, I'd have said flat because I'd never used a curved one. Until recently that is, when I bought a curved one. And it's ace. At this size, all 32" of it, it would be too big if flat - the curve allows me to see it without moving my head as much (perish the thought!).
However, I think it might not work as well for a smaller screen. It would have been wasted on my last one, which was only 24".
The moral of the story appears to be that size matters. For a big screen I could only envisage using a curved one from now on, but on a smaller one a flat one would do.
