Hopefully these can be sold at a lower price than the standard ones, because Vega needs serious pricing adjustments.

On another note, I'm glad they're dropping DVI, It's a dying standard and a pain in the arse to plug in compared to HDMI or DP. It also takes up twice the space.

Re: Gigabyte Radeon RX Vega 64 Gaming OC photos emerge

The 3rd party manufacturers where already pissy about having to maintain AMD's RRP. If it's true AMD were making a loss on reference cards (at least until the miners/natural shortages jacked up the price) there is little reason to think that these AIB cards with fancy coolers and LEDS!!!!!! will be cheaper than AMD's reference cards. They should still be cheaper than 1070 and 1080, but still not by as much as most of us would hope.

Since AMD introduced a rebate scheme for the retailers, whereby they sold units of rx to newegg etc for $499, the retailers where supposed to keep the prices low but instead they jacked them up with the insane demand; now the rebate scheme should be expired, the retailers will try to keep those prices as high as possible for as long as possible, even if the manufacturing shortages mean cheaper production.
