At least they gave people a migration path, that was surprising...and a refund too!
Does this mean there will be one less useless Microsoft app pre-installed on Windows 10?
Tbh, I didn’t know Microsoft had a music streaming service.
So I won’t be missing it.
a) as a music player Groove is as good as any other basic music player I've used on any platform, so I'd hardly call it useless,
and
b) you could always try reading the article. It's right there in the first paragraph:

users will still be able to use Microsoft's app to playback and manage owned music across devices.
This is a pain in the arse.
I've been using Zune Pass for about 7 years, it was better than spotify, considerably cheaper than spotify.
New Microsoft appear to be hell bent on becoming this century's IBM.
edit: too late woops
Typical, a month after I got loads of 3-month codes taking me to 2020. Pro rata refund of £0 is still £0 :D
Microsoft has lost its Groove!
So how many more years before Microsoft makes yet another foray into the music business and fold like a deck of cards a few years later?
