Having some GTX 1070 cost more than some GTX 1080 I really don't know how they are going to price this 1070 TI and make it not worth buying a 1080 instead or render all the 1070 out now worthless.

Well, not worthless. It's not like the 1070 performance is terrible, and if it lowers the price on it, the bang for buck on it will just get even better.
