“optimizing the game for PC play has been very important"
but I bet it still isn't properly optimised.
Yeah, call the recommended specs the minimum ones, and change the recommended ones to hardware that will be out in five years time, and you may just get 50fps with this game in the future after a few patches and unofficial fixes. /s
I never managed to get into these games, Black Flag I completed (possibly 100%, can't quite remember), but the others ones that I played felt forced and dull. I can't really believe that they're still milking it - but if people are still buying, then fair play.
I've tried a couple of times - gave up trying to get in to AC1, I think AC2 was the other one I attempted, and I bought Syndicate on offer, which is sitting installed but unplayed as of yet.
It's pretty much set the template for any of Ubi's 'open world' games though, from Far Cry to Watch Dogs to Ghost Recon Wildlands, it feels very much like a new coat of paint on the same base game IMO. I mean they tend to sell well, but it became boring for me a while ago and even for games I enjoyed overall like Wildlands, it still felt unoriginal and repetitive.
Why are we still using the awful FX processors for system requirements? Devs need to switch to using Ryzen for system requirements from the AMD side of the fence.
Why? There are a huge number of systems out there still using FX CPUs, they don't all suddenly become Ryzen just because it's been released, no more so than the Sandy/Ivy Bridge CPUs it suggests have become Skylake.
They still use FX processors in the requirements because despite how much bad press they got on release and despite how old they are, they are still running games (very well in some cases too).
Would you recommend a bio hazard suit to go out in the cold, or just a warm coat?
Black Flag was definitely my favourite of the series, probably the Pirate game ever made?! The Sea Shanties were great; I would really prefer a Black Flag 2 to a reiteration of the usual model.
