I thought the Iphone X used infrared and another camera, so not just dependant on visible light, but also body heat and another. Obviously not
Still adamant that facial recognition on a phone is pointless and a terrible idea.
Has the shift to fingerprints and facial recognition been done so that law enforcement are able to unlock phones using corpses rather than the faff they have to go through if a device is password protected?

finger prints and face rec are stored and turned over to the government. when people started sharing their limewire library with itunes, thats when the site went down, apple turned over all that data.
Well, I don't have any Apple kit but re: facial rec and/or fingerprints to unlock, I have a far, far better security system for my mobile devices (tablets) .... I don't put ANYTHING on them that needs protecting.
