Painkiller is getting a new release full of all the latest goodies as well as previous updates and add-ons:

DreamCatcher Games today announced that it will launch Painkiller: Black Edition, a limited edition package for its best selling franchise Painkiller on DVD ROM. Available in March 2005, the special DVD set will include both the award winning original version and its expansion pack "Battle out of Hell" in a collector's box. This Special Edition will feature high quality packaging and each copy is uniquely numbered.

As a special bonus, the DVD will also contain a 'making of' video feature with developer interviews, the Painkiller title track music video by rock band Mech, the upcoming Painkiller Xbox® trailer, Mapping/Editing tools and documentation, as well as over a dozen Cyberathlete® Professional League (CPL) enhancements. All for a suggested retail price of £29.99.

Developed by People Can Fly, Painkiller: Black Edition has a 16+ PEGI rating and will be released in March 2005. An Xbox® version of Painkiller will be released in 2005.
