I like RGB lighting to a degree, my mainboard has Mystic Light and my watercooling has RGB fans but with the case being under the desk its a little redundant.

There is some rgb on my internals due to the fact that it has ended up there by default, it is not something I actively went out looking for, I just have it all set to a solid cyan colour and I do quite like it, but I am not planning on going crazy with fans and strips any time soon! I can take it or leave it really, I like what I have but I wouldn't enjoy a full glowing disco box in the corner 24/7.
Definitely not. I think case lighting (especially of the RGB variety) looks gaudy. Not a big fan of side windows either.
Clearly milked to death and to the point where most people are just sick of it.
Granted it looks good with a decent custom loop, but otherwise, it's just tacky.
The worst thing is that they're integrating it into the front of monitors now lel.
No. I tend to use black aluminium mini-ITX cases with an understated look.
I don't want to use cases which look like the cross between the imagination of a hyperactive nine year old and a frog.
Nope me neither... but then I get sick of DMX programming, lasers and lights in general
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
RGB serves absolutely no practical purpose beyond (potentially) looking good.... just like a good number of other features on PCs these days.
I'd argue that people *do* want their PC to look good, otherwise they'd all still buy cream-white cases... but that what looks good varies from person to person.
I do find a fair few who take one look at the manufacturer's demo mode, which is typically THE most gaudy display in all colours of the rainbow (at the same time, if possible), and assume that's all RGB can offer... and the occasional person who annoyingly refuses to switch it to anything but the Mfr's demo display!!
What I like about RGB is that it gives you X million different colour choices, with display patterns to choose from and a load of different RBG accessories to choose from..... the key word there being CHOICE.
You get to decide what looks good to you, whether it's a slow breathe across all colours, an 80s red & green server-flash pattern, or simply switching it all off and going stealth...
So yeah, RGB champion of having the choices, here!!

Low blue glow from the bottom of the front case fan with a blue glow from mouse and keyboard. Just enough to see them n the dark, nothing more.
Grab that. Get that. Check it out. Bring that here. Grab anything useful. Take anything good.
I use the NZXT HUE+ kits in both of my pc's, mainly because I have found them to be reliable, but I must admit 90% of the time I have it set to show white light only. I personally have custom watercooling on both systems with the main colour scheme being white, black , silver and nickel with clear hardline tubing and clear coolant, I just like the clean look, I have tried coloured coolants but found I preferred it being clear.
Years ago I got fed up of the led strips quickly failing when I purchased them individually.
I just wish I could get a control unit to allow me to change the colour of the Corsair Dominator Platinum cooling fans, which are set to red by default (wouldn't have a problem if the default was white). Yes I know that the Corsair website says you can use their their Commander Pro RGB Controller, but it is not compatible. The control unit has 3-pin RGB connections and the cooling fans have 4-pin connections.
Yes and no, as a purely aesthetic thing I don't because I prefer a cleaner minimalist approach to my cases however I have toyed with using it, in conjunction with software, to 'alert' me to temp issues etc on headless pc's.
On the cases I use if I place an rgb strip in the right place I can get a 'glow' that can be used to warn me if my pc is overheating while doing it's 3D rendering for example.
I don't really care... it is just a water of energy to me.
Can look fancy , I accept that but I grew out of making my PC look like a toy years back. For one it's under my desk and virtually out of sight so would be a waste. Secondly 90% of my PC time is working with it and having a Christmas tree substitute next to me I would frankly find distracting. Not knocking those that want this stuff but I think it will be a passing fad and peeps will get bored with it , it's getting OTT now. Less is more as the saying goes and my recent case is very minimalistic , smart and elegant in my book , connections I need at the top for easy access. No , I don't care for all this bling.
I mostly see RGB as a waste of money, the exception being on a CPU/GPU cooler where I can tie them to temps. Off = normal operating temp; on = time to replace the paste or investigate some other issue.
