I shouldn't have said big - I was thinking of scan et al rather than dell, who already offer overclocked systems with their own warranty

Maybe they should just go back to soldering the IHS on, would make the gains from delidding much less.

Considered doing it to my 3570k many times as it does run hotter than I would like, my overclocks have been thermally stopped rather than stability issues.

As a product it certainly looks interesting.

I think the Mac Pros 2009-2012 all used de-lidded CPU's from Intel so it is possible to get them like that I guess.
