VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SLI or AMD RX Vega 56 CFX
Wow, recommending SLI/CFX in this day and age when the industry is trying to kill off mutli gpu for gaming.

Would suggest the game engine needs some optimising if it needs that kind of power!

Re: Ubisoft reveals Far Cry 5 recommended specs for PC

Ubisoft's system requirements are never accurate, according to them I will easily get 30fps+ at 4K, when the reality is I expect to see 30fps at 1080p.

That being said, the far cry series has generally been better optimized than their other titles, so here's to hoping I will get 60fps at 1080p, I could live with that.

To be fair, I don't think there are many game engines today that can offer 4K at a consistent 60 fps on high settings without using SLI or CFX...

DirectX 12 has taken control of multi-GPU setups, so the crossfire/SLI bit of the GPU driver is superfluous now. So while the SLI/crossfire branding is being killed off, multi-GPU is still supported

Unless they're written well using Vulkan or DX12 with multiple GPUs in mind.

I just hope this is better threaded that Far Cryrimal. Looking at the minimum specs it looks like it might be.

"when the industry is trying "

I feel that it's nVidia that's trying to kill off SLI.

Re: Ubisoft reveals Far Cry 5 recommended specs for PC

just wondering if this UBI game also needs SSE 4.1 instructions support on the CPU.
assassin creed origins did - I got a free copy at Christmas with Samsung SSD, and its just sat there in my library unable to be played.
so if this does, then Phenom II owners wont be able to play it.

As Ubi love to use templates to create games and the minimum spec is an FX6300, I am betting that it will.
