Now if we get a few decent m-itx boards...

Can't come soon enough IMO as leaving an entire, rather large, market segment entirely to your competitor for so long must be hurting profits.
These look pretty awesome general purpose parts, especially the Ryzen 3 2200G. If the relative RRP compared to the Ryzen 3 1200 stays the same in the UK,that should place it at close to £90.
If the Ryzen 5 2400G can achieve 4000 in 3DMark, that means it roughly has a 10% performance advantage over both the GT 1030 and RX 550? It'll be interesting to see real game benchmarks for all three and perhaps along side a Gtx 1050 and RX 560 too.
Considering the Vega runs on DDR4 Ram will it be a massive bottleneck and end up being aN intel HD610?
The sort of people who want a £90 CPU with iGPU probably don't care much about bottlenecks or performance, that one seems squarely aimed at the cheap OEM business market, the more expensive one is probably aimed at 1080p miniITX living room systems attached to a TV where you only really need 30FPS to match the majority of LCD TVs refresh rates.
You need to use expensive high speed RAM and overclock the IGP to get the Firestrike score of around 4000.
However, for the price you would need to get at least a £50 to £60 GT1030 to be any faster,so for £90 to £95 for the Ryzen 3 2200G it should be a decent deal.
It should be easily faster than the IGP in A12 9800 which can run Overwatch at 1080p.

At the bottom end, looking at stock CPU performance only, the i3 8100 is arguably better value than the Ryzen 3 2200G; it's only £10 more with a clear advantage in both single threaded applications (100MHz slower but with a decent IPC advantage) and well-threaded applications (100MHz faster plus a decent IPC advantage).
Otherwise, it's a muddy picture. As CAT has said, you need to spend £60 to get a faster GPU than the Ryzen 5 2400G - but if you buy anything cheaper then you'll be getting a slower GPU than the Ryzen 3 2200G. So if you need reasonable GPU performance then there's really no contest - once you factor in the price of a discrete GPU AMD will always give you more for your money. Plus both of these APUs are unlocked and overclockable. Assuming the 2200G can be overclocked to ~ 3.9GHz like most other 14nm Ryzens, the i3 8100's advantage fades...
If you look at the pricing AMD have announced these APUs are actually slotting in to the pricing structure as if they were just CPUs - the 2200G is a little cheaper than the Ryzen 3 1300X, and the 2400G is again a little cheaper than the Ryzen 5 1500X. From a product stack viewpoint the IGP is free - what you're paying for is a lower performance CPU of the same configuration.
Actually the Ryzen 3 2200G RRP is below that of the Ryzen 3 1200:
https://videocardz.com/74696/amd-ann...ies-price-cuts
Its priced at $99 and the Ryzen 3 1200 RRP is $109.
That should place it at £85 to £90,so unless UK retailers add a premium to the price,it will be at least £15 cheaper than the Core i3 8100.
Looking at the benchmarks AMD published, the higher clockspeeds of the Ryzen 3 2200G should overall put it ahead of the Ryzen 3 1200,even though it has 4MB less L3 cache. OTH,it also only has one CCX and also has an improved memory controller as it has official support for 2933MHZ DDR4 instead of 2666MHZ DDR4 with Ryzen.
For me, it's going to give the kind of performance I need all in one. I have made up an m-itx system to do projection mapping around an old apu (Athlon 5150 am-1) which is quad core 1.6ghz, Radeon R7 80 cores and have had to get myself a Radeon R7 240 because it didn't have enough grunt. This is kinda were I'd like to be to make my life easier.... so we shall see if the puter gets an upgrade later this year

I like the brushed aluminum effect for the Vega graphics at the top there, true to the Vega launch cards. Thanks for linking TechEpiphany's video. He's actually just uploaded another vid showing Doom running on a Ryzen 2500U at a relatively high resolution but still coping pretty well:
