No mention of the 4 registered device limit that NowTV impose. I hit that constantly.

I can no longer keep up with all the various ways to watch TV anymore.
It's becoming as confusing as laptop & monitor stock numbers.

Glad I'm not the only ;)
I was literally, within the last week, complaining that Sky should have some way to occasionally watch their streaming content without having to get a full installation and expensive monthly contract. How I've missed Now TV for however long it's been running I have no idea, but boy do I feel dumb today ;)

Far better than having one company dominate it. Sky were stagnant for years, now they've been forced to up their game.

No dish required soon but still need a box connected via broadband...
Otherwise Sky Go works well but you need to pay monthly

It is interesting to add that "Sky signals the end of the satelline dish".
As per a new BBC report:
"Sky plans to make all its channels and content available online, giving customers the option of doing away with a satellite dish.
The pay TV company already offers some programming online on its Sky Go and Now TV services and through Sky boxes.
Sky said offering the option was a "major development" that would let it enter new markets.
It hopes that making its hundreds of channels more widely available will increase both revenue and profits." etc etc

Will increases to revenue and profits translate into lower prices for the customers ?
It could do, but it rarely does.

Read carefully that report. You will still require a Sky box for a few things to work, like record shows etc. It appears that you cannot just buy a Sky Stick and use that

Of course not, what this does is move the infrastructure costs from Sky (satellite leases, spectrum licenses, supplying and installing dishes,) and moves it to the consumer (bring your own broadband connection.)

Of course Sky just happen to be a broadband supplier...and I bet my rather large derrière that it will work a whole heap better if they are your broadband supplier

A bit like how Sky Q will only connect to a Sky router on 5ghz, and drops to 2.4ghz for any other brand of router? (unless you spoof it.)

Now TV doesn't, afaict? Register and have a compatible device seem to be the only requirements.
It's pretty much exactly the service I was complaining about wanting. Come the summer I could easily see me investing in a week of sports (that'd do me an entire test match for £11 ;) ). I mean, obviously I'd love it to be a LOT cheaper, but....

Re: Sky TV launches NOW TV Smart Stick, with voice, at £14.99
I like how sky Q has nearly caught up with my 6 year old HTPC, 6 tuners in one box (2 freesat HD + 4 freeview HD), I can then stream those tuners or recordings in each room (+ my music and movies). and a couple of my steamers can play 360 games and the other 2 can stream steam games from my main PC.
It is good how there is many players and ways to watch what you want these days, a little competition is great. But I can't bring myself to pay more than my current cost for tv... free.

But then you only get the Now TV channels not the Sky ones...
For the Sky channels you will still need a box if I read it right

That's the way I read it too. I'd LIKE to be wrong, one reason being occasional access to Sky Atlantic. Instead, I currently just buy an occassional box set. Discs, I mean.
As for it working better with Sky broadband than others, they'd have to have MASSIVELY improved the service over the over-priced pile of garbage they gave me.
