I would like two,but space and cost are the issues, since I would want an identical monitor if possible and it is now £400ish from Dell!
I have 2x24" UHD IPS monitors, not got room for bigger (of course a single larger one would work)
Being a photographer/videographer its usually a preview on the second monitor, did run a 1080p one at first but the transition moving between the 2 was painful.
Total cost £399.98.
I can work on a single monitor and would say 1440p in a minimum.
got two now one for stuff and one to tab over to 1440p, would not mind a 3-4 monitor setting at some point.
I use two 24" 16x10 monitors as I do a lot of photo editing so its good to have two & to have that bit of extra depth.
A single 32" 1440p monitor does it for me. The pixel density hits the sweet spot for me between getting more on the screen, being able to see things easily without scaling and not needing a mighty graphics card.
I use just one ultrawide PG348Q (3440 x 1440 IPS @100Hz), it has enough space to run 2 pages side by side.
Also I don't really like multi-monitors for gaming, but I do have my 55" 4K TV connected as a second monitor for when I want to play games in 4K, or watch videos etc.
Currently 2 on "work" pc. Projection mapping pc is one monitor 2 x projectors. Music pc is one monitor one tv!
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
Never tried multiple monitors even though I have loads lying around so I have no comparison, I can understand the advantage of using 2+ monitors for work related stuff though. For gaming it's increasingly being replaced with a VR mode which easily surpasses multi monitor for realism and depth.
for work, min 2.. I have 2x1080p (best my GPU supports while still running games) matched, thin bezel and color calibrated for photo work. 1440p would be nice but my old GPU starts to hit its limit at that, and the extra size/cost becomes more tricky so I stayed at 1080p for now.
My work machine has 1No 1280x1024 + 1No 1680x1050 - you can get by but it is frustrating. When I asked for a better screen a few years ago they tried to give me a 1200x900. Needless to say I politely declined.
At work I have two 5:4 monitors. I prefer things to snap into place and not merge or stretch. I'm not a fan of Windescreen for work, however, thats slightly outdated as 1440p+ becomes more common place that could change in the nearish future.
At home I have a 24" 1080p monitor with two 5:4 monitors rotated so it looks like ears on my main monitor. This is just handy for having chats up or monitoring etc.. at the same time as a film or game.
Just got a new 28" Samsung 4k monitor but I still use a second 24" monitor alongside it. I've used dual monitors for so long I could never go back to just using one.
I use two monitors, with one of them being turned off for most tasks.
I haven't tried an ultra wide and aren't sure if you can have games "full screen" using just half the screen or not. I do like using 2 monitors though, it's just way too useful. Plus if one dies I do have a backup which happened to my 1440p screen, rip.
I have multiple monitors.
A 27" 1440p for gaming, a 24" 1080p on the shelf not plugged in and a 20" 1080p in the loft.
Grab that. Get that. Check it out. Bring that here. Grab anything useful. Take anything good.
