I'd want more than 1920x1080 for $999. And I'd want 100% sRGB and a screen that can be calibrated too.

There is a point where it is form over function.
Phones that look pretty but almost require a case to stop them slipping out your hand are an example of this.
Seems to be a belief that thinner is just better.

I didn't believe my wife when she said her S8 slides across the table without any interaction from her. She put it on the table and it was so thin and glossy it had a pocket of air and started moving across the table on the tiniest slant like a hockey puck. 2 days later it slid off the coffee table and cracked on the day I bought her a case. £240 later to repair it...
