The key word being "might". A very convenient time that it was done.

The problem is he's been selling off the stocks he's received as a bonus ever since he's been getting them, the only thing that really changed was when he sold them off and the amount, that's sure to get noses twitching but I'll eat my hat if anything comes of it as i imagine it would have been run by some very well paid and talented lawyers before it was signed off.

It'll get locked up in courts for 5 years then they may get fined and Intel will just spin it off into appeals for another 5 years.

Intel admits that in June 2017, a Google research team first notified it about various security vulnerabilities
And yet they released the 8th generation in October knowing that all the SKU were vulnerable.

Yeah, we'll fix it later with some patch when it gets public.

The one anti trust case was specifically about releasing vulnerable processor after the disclosure of a "major exploit". I'd imagine that Intel will be hit with a huge fine and giving all customer a portion of the purchase price of processors if they can prove they should have fixed them

All in all not much of a problem to Intel with the fortune it has amassed
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!

AMD is being sued also, and I believe so is ARM

Not to the same level because neither AMD or ARM tried to deflect or pretend the issue wasn't as big as it actually was or even try to blame the other companies.

    So Intel can get stuffed.

There are also a lot more intel purchasers, with very deep pockets. AMD is not immune to lawsuits over this either (https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/0..._flaw_silence/ - note that this one is, in my non-expert opinion, a bit of a stretch)
