    Yes, I know.

I am a dirty, filthy little threesome-loving [word probably censored] and have already profaned my soul to EA by purchasing not one, not two, but three titles in this sale just last night....

.... and two of them were GotY editions.

Got myself ME: Andromeda, DA: Inquisition and also Syndicate.
I'm sure all three are hideous and foul, but the first two are from series that I loved... and the third one.... well, I simply haven't played it yet... but it was cheap.

    £21.99??

Surely these should be in the £15 range, which is the MOST expensive for the old games, with many falling to £6.99? You THINK that you're getting a bargain but none of these should be £54 upon release. Not even Crysis. Why are we falling for Marketing?

DA:Inquisition is quite fun. ME:A is definitely better than when it was first released by its not as good as the original games, and the character models look horrible. I ended up having to download some mods and look at a guide to make my character look human!!

I usually get the mega-uber-all-inclusive collectors versions in Steam sales for about a tenner, for that very reason.
It means waiting a few years after release, but all the bugs are usually fixed by then as well.

get an Origin Access annual sub for £20 and gorge on the Vault. They'll end up in there eventually anyway

^^ Good advice it's the cheaper option, especially when considering they eventually turn the servers off for older titles that have any form of multiplayer feature.

I'm still waiting for a Battlefield 2143 from DICE, along with the Titan modes... I'll settle for another Bad Company though. Other than that, they can forget it.

Re: EA Publisher Sale offers deep discounts via Origin store

Well, each to his own, but for me, the question is .... do these still require game platform installation, or are they DRM-free, a la GOG?

    Price, for me, is secondary.

    And are they? Thought not.

I'll wait for GOG versions and if I'm still waiting when our Sun explodes .... so be it.

I think you have it wrong, ME2 & ME3 DLC content is not available from Steam, it has only just become available on Origin after being exclusively sold from the Bioware shop, since the games launched.

You will love Syndicate. It involves old school gameplay where you keep shooting and eavding until the bosses eventually die.

I had no idea they'd remade Syndicate. Is it any good compared to the original?

Nothing like it. The reason they haven't done any more. For some peculiar reason they decided to make it a fps, a very bland one at that. There is a chance you may like it, but I'd recommend you spend your time and cash elsewhere.

I thought something might be off when the EA page for it no longer exists. I loved the original. I still hum/beatbox the main tune from it - as with many games of that era - in certain situations.

Thought I might get NFS Payback, but then I remembered how disappointed I was when I got NFS Rivals when it was on discount on PS4 and changed my mind immediately

It's nothing like the original but an equally enjoyable game nevertheless
