The L3 cache of the new processor is slower though. That said, seems like only the super expensive Intel counterparts get ahead in terms of floating point performance.

L3 slower? Those figures say 11.2ns for the old part and 9.4ns for the new one, which is quite a bit faster.

More interesting (to me, with Ryzen 1 already) is the GloFo CTO saying that Ryzen 3000s will be in the 5ghz ballpark at 7nm :)
