Thanks for posting, Hexus! Really pleased about this, as it gives me and a mate something new to play for free! :D Looking forwards to trying it once it is downloaded. It's the first F1 game I've had since F1 2011. Hopefully the servers will still be active long enough to allow online play. Codemasters do tend to shut things down after a while though....

But... is it REALLY free? Totally free? I have to join, then possibly subscribe, which means that the ONLY reason why this is free is because they want people using their service. I already have Origin, Steam and uPlay so not that bothered with another one. Thanks anyway... would have loved to have had the game.

It's a Steam game as they are just a vendor, but yes you will end up on another mailing list and a lot of the games are the usual ones that also end up cheap in Steam sales.

You don't have to subscribe to Humble Bundle at all. Making an account is free and you don't have to hand over any credit/debit card details unless you choose to buy something from them. Now go grab that free game while you still can!!! :)

I'm honestly surrprised that you aren't signed up to it, excalibur1814.
I thought just about everyone was probably using it due to the obvious benefits of being able to pay what you want for bundles of games, choosing how much of it goes to which charities (including one of your choice) and developers (although if getting games individually from the Humble Store, it is instead a fixed price with a certain percentage going to a charity of your choice).
I've used it since the very first Indie Bundle they offered, and although it was acquired by IGN not long ago, it still seems like it will continue to be as great as it always has been.

Well mostly it's because it's a game which is vastly out of date - we're now on the 2018 season and there's at least one newer game out already. Also the new season began at the weekend it's a way of promoting it, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's part of the marketing by Formula One Management.

My thoughts entirely. It's a great system. Apart from the ton of entertainment that I have had from the large number of $1 bundles that I've bought over the years, occasionally I will want something from the top tier for $15 or $20 (as in the case of the recent Magix audio s/w bundle) and can then set the percentage split sliders so that 90% of the cash goes to my chosen local charity. What's not to like?
