Maybe.
One of my pet peeves with Windows for many, many years, way before Win10, was the level of junk, and/or potentially unwanted stuff that was installed by default, with no way to opt out of installation.
For example, defragging software. By all means include a basic version, and by all means have "install" as the default for non-expert users. But for pities sake, with that and dozens of other "bloat" tools, have an expert install mode that allows users that actively don't want them to turn them off pre-install. By which I mean, just don't install in the first place.
Did it ever happen? Nope.
I suppose I'm a bit of a purist. I like to choose my own versions of such utilities, even by paying for full-featured versions, and I don't want ANYTHING installed in an OS that I don't actively need or want.

True, but may cp/m might suite sir better? We can supply on 5 1/2 floppy or for added nostalgia, 8" floppy disks.

Well, I still have NT3.1, 4.0 etc. And OS/2. Netware 3.x and 4.x. And of course, Win2000. Server and Workstation. And just about every version of DOS (by which I assume you mean MS-DOS, though I have variants like NCR-DOS, too) since about 2.0.
And the manuals.
And in those days, by 'eck did they do manuals. I tend to measure them by the height of the stack, in feet.
I really ought to dump a lot. I could move to a smaller house.

Ahem, well, ummm, .....
/hides Apple CP/M 5.25" inch floppy under sofa cushion.
I do (still) have a Z80 board for the Apple IIe (in a working Applle IIe) to run CP/M.
Seriously. No kidding.
And if someone says 'no surprise there' I'll clock 'em one with my COBOL manual.

Absolutely ... give back control!
Re: Microsoft Windows 10 Lean coming to storage limited devices
Sounds somewhat similar to the LTSB version, which has basically none of the Windows 10 bloatware. I've found it to be great. No Edge, no apps, no nothing!

delete this accidental duplicate.
Re: Microsoft Windows 10 Lean coming to storage limited devices
Might be able to resurrect my gen1 compute stick with this! Though supposedly this is for the new don't-call-it-a-phone mobile device that runs Full win10.
