It would be AMAZING if every single person, that wanted to buy the game, went for the standard edition. It's the only way to stop all of this rubbish from happening. In ye olde days devs actually created stuff for FREE!

So like the last one,it will use Purehair which was developed with AMD,and after Nvidia sponsored the game,all references to AMD were dropped from any Square Enix blurb. OFC,AMD PR probably were oblivious to all of this.
And just like the last ones, I'll wait a few years until I can pick up the über-Ultimate edition for just a few squid. More so, since there's so little Tomb Raiding and so much more shooty-shooty Far Cry action in this reboot series.
I don't care what outfits and cosmetic items are included/available. I'm only interested in the DLC story content anyway...
enjoyed the last two will probably buy this though I only ever buy std versions

Standard edition for me. The worst culprits are those that offer DLC's. So basiclly I'm purchasing an unfinished game at full price, only to be charged more for the remaining pieces via DLC.

Sine the reboot, which was awesome, I'm liking the new style. But, occassionally, I still boot up the original on the Sega Saturn
Not the new one, no. The distinct lack of Keely Hawes has frozen my sentiments toward Lady C, I'm afraid.
The 2013 reboot was optimised so well on the PC that it ran on a potato, the last one was still well optimised too but needed some hefty hardware to push the most out of it. I am of the mind that this one isn't going to be too far away from the last one in technical terms, so all the marketing over it being well optimised is something I doubt took much effort to begin with, not a bad thing at all really, but it is like bragging that you got up and went to work this morning when you have been doing it for years already.
So right. Pick up the ultimate stuff in the sale.
Right now I am being punished as usual by a Tomb Raider game with wonky controls, glitches with the camera and getting stuck on walls and so on. I am currently playing Tomb Raider Underworld btw and while I like the atmosphere these games should be so much better. They need to be put into hands of people who can actually make good games. Hopefully this new one is different but I am not going to watch the trailer as I already have enough Tomb Raider on my hands.
I can't believe the number of editions for a single game.
What was meant to be additional content at a later stage to enhance the game experience by adding more levels has somehow turned into a let's make the full game and intentionally strip away parts right from the beginning. Greedy studios and publishers.
As with everything in life, when something turns into a money-making profitable opportunity, people want to make yet more money from it. Greed has no effing limits!
Even though the graphics and Lara's lovely hair have been improved in the reboot, I miss Lara's original face before she had a plastic surgery in the reboots and her lovely voice. Maybe I miss her boobies too. And, she is a dual gun wielding babe, not an arrow person.
I just could not get over how she was changed. This has prevented me from playing the reboots.
I had the pleasure of going to Square Enix / formerly Eidos' office in London for an interview few years ago. They have a life-size Lara figurine
IMO Lara looked the best in Tomb Raider Legend.

The whole pre-order super deluxe premium season pass editions is as bad as loot boxes and should be banned by authorities. Just another sneaky way of increasing the prices...at the end of the day the customer is worse off because the standard version is cut so that the premium version can be justified. Standard today - Premium tomorrow. Prices of games just like coffee in Starbucks (and other places) have gone out of control thanks to a very segmented market dominated by just a few publishers (Ubisoft, EA etc.) - just like supermarket sector in the UK - fake competition and price fixing to boost profits. Add spineless regulators and you have a recipe for disaster.
And what precisely are they going to regulate against? Charging more for more content? rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishing grow up!
