That seems like quite a decent price, if it really can do 4k, etc, etc.

It'll probably translate to £200 over here. Looking forward to some demos...

Must admit lost all interest in this, seems way overpriced for what it is. Going to grab the ZX Spectrum Next when it lands mid July

Re: Atari VCS hits Indiegogo on 30th May, priced from $199

Its meant to use an AMD APU - rumours say a BR A10,but it does look too small for even a 35W one, unless its a mobile SKU,so I suspect its an A10 9600P:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...rs#Mobile_APUs

If that is the case it will have a 384 shader IGP.

I will wait for the specifications, because for £200 I don't expect much.

Dual core, quad thread low-end Raven Ridge with a partially disabled GPU and 2 to 4 GB of RAM seems likely to me.

A cut-down RR die would make a great HTPC for £200. Like an intel NUC, but at a not-insane price

Re: Atari VCS hits Indiegogo on 30th May, priced from $199

I'm not over concerned about the spec of the box, like whether or not it's 4K tbh.
It's more about what it can do, we know it comes bundled with a shed load of classic VCS games, so that's a good start for the fun factor.
£200 is a lot of money for that alone, so it had better do so much more. I'm really interested to see what that will be!
Sure it's got bluetooth, dual wifi etc, but we need to see a games catalog, an app catalog and a roadmap.

Re: Atari VCS hits Indiegogo on 30th May, priced from $199

If the overall gaming results (graphics and performance) are similar to a Nintendo switch, then the price is good. If the switch can beat it then it's a no from me.
