Re: Noctua releases its long awaited NF-A12x25 120mm fans
From time to time, I have come across cases where the mounting holes haven't been perfect which has resulted in a slight deformation of the casing. In some cases causing some issues with the fans being used.
I do wonder if the uber-tight tolerances in play here could be affected by less-than-uber-tight tolerances in the places they're mounted?

I've had similar problems and have found that using the rubber fan fittings provided, instead of screws, worked a treat.

That 140mm adaptor frame looks like a cludge, I wonder how long it'll be until they can start producing a 140mm version?

Cue loads of comments about the beige....

It is proper annoying that they refuse to release new models in plain old black though...
I'm not overly bothered about how pretty my PC is, but I still cant handle things being that mismatched and wouldnt buy a Noctua because of it.
Re: Noctua releases its long awaited NF-A12x25 120mm fans
Surely all the Hexites have plain windowless cases, to protect them against the RGB, so can't see the fan colour anyway? :p
I just looked at Noctua's quoted stats for this new fan... Even their own NF-F12 PWMs are better. In fact their 2K IndustrialPPCs aren't that much louder but give almost twice the static pressure performance while drawing less power.
Their 3K versions are still as mad as Hamlet, but I will try them one day.
For now, I'd still look to Corsair's ML120s over these new Noctuas.

i love Noctua's beige and brown :)

Not enough RGB for the cost

The beige is precision-engineered to take on whatever colour of RGB you shine on it...
Re: Noctua releases its long awaited NF-A12x25 120mm fans
Has to be said I don't like the colour but I own a couple and you can instantly spot a noctua over other fans and you know its quality so maybe it's for a reason ?
Re: Noctua releases its long awaited NF-A12x25 120mm fans
Don't care about the colour, it's the noise and cooling performance that makes me use them.
Re: Noctua releases its long awaited NF-A12x25 120mm fans
I think they missed a trick in the design, if they really spent 4 years developing it they were being too fussy with the small details.
Re: Noctua releases its long awaited NF-A12x25 120mm fans
Any reviews yet? I'm fairly confident I'll be getting some if those claims are true. I will take any colour in the name of cool and quite.

They're neither, though - NF-F12 PWM models are quieter (by 0.2dB, for 500 fewer rpms) and have a higher static pressure (additional 0.27mm/H2O).
Airflow too, their own NF-S12A fans are 4.8dB quieter for 800 fewer rpms and still deliver 6 more m³/h on the airflow.

These are jack of all trades fan, not the best choice for one or the other but certainly usable for both.
Personally at a cheaper cost, and more agreeable aesthetic I would go with the redux.
Were I in the position to be spending on them I would even go with the Chromax over these.
