Re: YouTube Music launched, will replace Google Play Music

... Subscribers (US price $9.99 per month) will benefit from an advertising free experience, downloads for offline play, and rather importantly - the app enables background play/screen off capabilities for paying customers. ...
Erm ... am I reading that right? YouTube Music will replace Play Music, and then I'll suddenly lose the ability to play music in the background with the native Google music app?!

    Seriously Google? WTH?!

I assume they mean that "their" music will require subscription. Can't imagine them charging you to listen to music you own.

Re: YouTube Music launched, will replace Google Play Music

Still buying, and keeping, my music. Not on iTunes either.

Good luck to everyone who wants to be told how, when and where they can listen to their music. Not my thing.
