So this is one of those "if you need to see a price, you can't afford it" deals, right?
I doubt it. This is exactly the sort of product that would sell well to consumers as the cost per GB should be lower than the existing MLC and TLC SSDs.Quote:

These would make fine steam SSDs.
No, looks to me like this is aimed into the market with drives like the Samsung PM863, Intel S4500 etc. Cheaper SATA drives with data centre focused firmware, still pricier than consumer level drives but the price per GB is quite low compared to other 'Enterprise' grade drives.Quote:

Yeah, but the last enterprise tray I saw used 2.5in drives which, albeit at 15mm high not 7mm, are available in 5TB sizes so not a huge amount in it.Quote:
