i was just looking to jump on the pre-order but won't bother for that reason.

From the looks of the video and the female lead being young, its definitely looking to be for the mindless teeny boppers, i will steer well clear. See what Sterling thinks of this!!

btw, how is "open beta" open when it's only for preorders. I think EA shows just how lost cause it has become

Re: Battlefield V will be released on 19th October

So far so good from my perspective - it looks as though EA have learned from their recent bad press around Battlefront and this time are taking the sensible option of straight up selling the game in it's entirety, without messing about with expansions etc. I'm hoping that the "no loot crate" thing also means no purchasable boosts, but we'll see.

Personally I loved BF1 and thought they did a fantastic job - pretty decent single player, multiplayer was a lot of fun (and isn't an awful "death simulator" like COD) even if its pretty much degenerated into a sniper fest on certain maps...there are always ways around it if you can get a squad with a rough idea of what to do (Smoke, mortars and assaults with machine guns ). I've pumped almost as many hours into BF1 as I have PUBG and really enjoy it. The introduction of "operations" & "frontlines" really changed things last year too - made the whole experience a lot more fun and satisfying.

Looking forward to more of the same hopefully, in a WW2 setting so we can have a better variety of guns than was available in BF1. You can imagine some brilliant set pieces and operation settings in this era Looking forward to it!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that a i5-2600K will still work just fine.

Could be optimisations they were able to put in because of running it in BF1. But it could be because they haven't pushed any boundaries in a while.
