Now, I've not ever fancied being in a SWAT team, other than the slight chance I might get to snog Sandra Bullock after ramming a train through a wall, as it's far too dangerous for my liking.

But you can run around and take down bad guys from the comfort of you PC in Irrational Games' SWAT series... much nicer than getting a kneecap blown into next Tuesday, eh?

In it's latest incarnation, SWAT 4 gives a much greater depth of gameplay for squad based shooters and in multi-player it can be as frenetic as CS, or if you take your time, much more tactical. The ability interact with the enviroment, such as wedging doors closed, and the introduction of non-lethal weapons forces both teams to re-act much more to their enemies tactics.

To have a look yourself, don your black bolier suit and pop over to the SWAT 4 website to grab the demo.
