dang it, I was only planning on buying a 1060 6gb, but i'm thinking to play this well I will need much better.
R* console ports seem to be very well optimised going on gta 5. You might be okay with a 1060 but the used market for gpus seem to be very good atm.Originally Posted by Troopa

It'll be about 2 years before they bring it to PC anyway knowing them
How safe is the used market for gpus? Just did a quick ebay search for 1060 6gb and rx580 8gb and they seem alright but experience says if something seems to good to be true then it more than likely isn'tR* console ports seem to be very well optimised going on gta 5. As long as the guys feedback is fine, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used gpu.

Its pot luck really, some are fine, some a broke and some have been used for mining. Maybe if you know someone selling an older card you have a good idea if it will be OK. Dont buy from Gumtree or Shpock.
Did read that eBay have a policy that pretty much protect's the buyer, i have seen people complaining that eBay never defends the seller (i.e. if you sent out a working video card and a buyer broke it, you have to refund them..) so if you buy from eBay it can be sent back easy, but very hard to tell how much use a GPU has had before you bought it.
I sold a AMD R280 via gumtree, they txted me saying it was not working. Luckily they lived near me and i gave them instructions on how to wipe the drivers on windows 10 via DDU and then it worked phew, but could have easily gone the other way.
Was procrastinating over pre-ordering RDR2. Watch the video and couldn't get to the Xbox Store fast enough. Looks stunningly stunning.
Should tide me over until Cyberpunk 2077 at least.

Honestly, it can't be too many more generations before it's indistinguishable from the real thing.
I still don't understand why R* doesn't release this and the first one on PC, its like they dont want our money.
