could be good for bargain builds and htpc's.
I assume like the other APUs the ECC ram doesn't work? Still, nice that they included some integrated graphics unlike the FM2 athlons.
Good value APUs. Wonder what the 220GE and 240GE will add - probably a bit of clock speed and maybe a bit more GPU ($99 Ryzen 2200 is 4C4T and 8CU, so makes sense to scale up to that a bit).
They will be stop gap before zen 2. Much like AM3 before Bulldozer. Perfect for SFF or budget.
should add AES-NI, and the world can finally be free of celeron's in cheap home NAS boxes for clouds and kodi boxes, as atom C3000's will come along oneday soon
Simply perfect for HTPCs.
Oh Athlon, how I loved thee! Great name. I remember the original athlons and how they trounced Intel cpus at the time and were, of course, much cheaper too. Unfortunately the first one I got was a slot CPU design that was hard to upgrade. I good name to rival the pentium/celeron branding...
Am i missing something obvious then? I thought AES-NI had been included on all AMD processors for a while now. :O_o1:
Could be a nice upgrade for my HTPC, currently running am A8-7600, so if this can give lower power usage with better performance with HDMI 2.0 then all I need is affordable RAM to return.
