I know it's wishful thinking, but I hope this comes in around 5% better than the AMD part and just *nobody* buys it.

From a few leaks that I've seen, it's going to be a 95W part. I guess they're able to go as high as 105W to keep on speaking terms with AMDs 2700X.

Well, aside from $583 being more like £447, are you VAT registered?
As I make it more like £447 + VAT, that is £536 at least minimum.

I thought the swear filter was just reflecting my thoughts on the packaging... maybe they've used recycled plastic? It would be even more appropriate then

Turbo clocks of up to 5.0GHz
That's as fast as my i5-2500k!

Re: Intel Core i9-9900K listed on Amazon US for $582.50

I'm liking the idea that the number of sides on the box should represent the number of cores.

You'd not sell a lot of single core processors though.

I think we should have Tesseract shaped boxes for quad core CPUs.

The only reason to buy it is if you're a gamer who wants the highest framerates and has a lot of money to waste.

For a content creator...no idea why you would pick Intel over AMD.

At that price I think you could compare 9900k to Threadripper.

Intel are still best at single threaded tasks and you just mentioned things that like multi-core. Just get the 2700X.
