Bloat and no competition thats been their problem.
Dividing into three segments is only going to add more bloat and because they thought there was no competition they have taken their eye off the game and foot off the throttle, theres no driving innovation.
Samsung already claiming 3nm for 2020.
If true its dark days for Intel
Intel lost their development lead when they sat on their laurels with 10nm because they didn't see AMD as a competitor and didn't expect the likes of ARM to become what it has. Let alone Samsung and co getting this heavily into the silicon war.Quote:
