It could have an Atom in it - I just want that PC for the case!

Maybe it's just me but I don't remember the enterprise ever having those big lumpy sections going up to the nacelles....

Pretty sure with the way laptop hardware is now they could have made it so it could fit in the saucer section without the need for the extra bits and the main tube body could have been used for the psu, it's not like pico psu's don't exist.

Admittedly this wouldn't be able to run a rtx 2080 but it would at least be more accurate to the ship, something I'm sure a star trek fan, ie someone who would buy this, would be wanting over pure performance.

The reason they probably have to do that is for a full sized card and TBH its not really that noticeable from the front - at the very least it means the case has some degree of an upgrade path,as laptop parts mean that you would need an MXM card which is not so easy to get hold off.

I know it's been done for space reasons but those big slabs attached to the nacelle pylons really spoil the aesthetics.

Comes with a 2080? Does that mean it will it reach Warp 10 with DLSS enabled?

As someone who is not over enamoured with blingy gaming cases i actually like this.
If you have nowhere to conceal your case then this would look okay as a display ornament as well.
I can see a market for this idea, spaceships, something like a Millenium Falcon case would probably sell really well.
My favourite would be the Babylon 5 space station which being cylindrical should make an ideal case.
Anyone else got an idea of a spaceship that would make a good case for off the shelf components?

Both should work well. The Star Fury would be great if you wanted to see all the internal components.
I would buy a Shadow Battlecrab case if it was possible to have one as a case as it is my favourite ship of all time, something beautiful about its menacing looks. The legs/arms would be great for heat dissipation and if it made the sound of a Shadow ship being awakened when you started it up i would be sold.

I like the concept of it, being a Star Trek fan, but I just don't think it works at the rear - I'd prefer something that fitted the design of the ship, rather than making the ship change to fit fancy graphics cards. Perhaps just having the base bit for the graphics card would have been better.

the power button is situated in the 'intake'

It's not a jet. There is no air in space. That's called "deflector", and that's where the projector should be.
