Intel beats financial forecasts thanks to PCs and data centres

Client Computing and Data Centre groups were winners. Mobileye was another highlight.

Serious security flaws, shortages of chips, strong competition from AMD and yet they still beat financial forecasts. How?!

Well maybe people are paying £250 for Core i5 8400 CPUs then!

    No wonder margins are up!!

    Edit!!

Regarding AMD,CPU sales are up too,its the GPU sales which have gone down the drain due to the crypto crash. So apparently more people are buying CPUs,and remember the Intel price increases are more recent,so might have not really have affected most of the financial quarter Intel have reported. If you want to see if CPU shortages have an effect we need to look at Q4.

Good for Intel, I am a fan of the industry. That said, what will happen when they no longer supply chips to apple? (in 2020)

Corporate purchases probably, big corporations still trust Intel more.

I wonder if the Apple modem sales are classed under client sales?
