Re: SSD prices will continue to tumble in 2019 says report
I am wondering if this is the right time to get a 1TB SATA SSD or a 1TB NVME SSD.

I'm very tempted to pick up a Samsung 970 EVO 500GB with Assassins Creed Odyssey for £129.98 but I'm tempted to wait a few weeks for black friday and hopefully the 970 evo plus to release. If prices come down more I might be able to budget for a 1TB which would be a nice upgrade from my Samsung 830 256GB.

When is H1 2019? I couldn't find it on Google and it seems it is different depending on the country.

NEWEGG.COM sometimes have cheaper prices and are also currently offering 15% off any purchase over £115 as a gift voucher.

I suspect that's a "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" type question.
Personally, and I stress personally, about the same cost/TB as an HD.
Until then, for a given sum of money, I value capacity of HD more highly than performance of SSD. Personally.

Those flash chips you see on an SSD PCB aren't simple chips. Inside the silicon die are stacked up to 96 layers high, so you are actually buying a very large area of silicon.
Compared to an Intel CPU it seems pretty good value, but then what doesn't :)
