Yes but no. The idea of having a second display whilst typing in Word in portrait to allow all those extra buttons is great until you consider how you're going to hold it and get your thumbs to the keyboard. The second screen will get in the way of your left hand and be flapping in the breeze unless you have it flat on a surface which just won't be comfortable. It might be useful for keeping a reminder list / calendar easily accessible and always there as well as the time.

The landscape keyboard idea seems good but ergonomics are going to be awful and typing properly on one of these keyboards is not easy.

I think the biggest use for this kind of thing would be for people with e-readers who want an e-ink screen but don't want to carry round a full sized e-reader.

Nice idea, but yes, I was under the impression that MS had dropped mobile, however if Intel etc keep making things smaller then theres no reason they wont move back into mobile, however, after the other dips they have taken there will need to be some pretty good reasons for the consumers to move to ANY MS offering given the trust that they have broken by bringing things out and then ditching them leaving customers high and dry...

I feel as though they may not enter the mobile market in the traditional sense, but they may make a mobile sized computer instead..?
