And are you eyeing up a newer model?
Current One+3, I was very tempted by by the One+6 but resisted. I was a little less tempted by the One6T but I'm still resisting. At the end of the day my +3 is still doing a great job.
I am using a Huawei P20 Pro, obviously no plans to change this for the foreseeable, I have only had it a few months. The only reason I got it in the first place is because my (admittedly ageing) HTC one M9 took a plunge down some steps, glass screens don't like to impact with concrete very much it seems. However, I am enjoying the uplift in performance and the amazing camera it has (those night shots, wow!). Some intuitive features such as simply tapping the screen with your knuckle to take a screenshot are nice to haves too.
Nokia 8. It's a phone. Does what I need, gets regular security updates, but still waiting for Android 9. Other models now come first in the release pecking order...
Got half an eye on a OnePlus 6t, but haven't had this phone for long enough to justify getting a new one.
my Samsung e2120(?) the speakers broken on it, cost £10 in January 2011.
spent nearly £20 total in payg in last 8 years. got 60p left
thinking of getting a Nokia 105 as a replacement. currently £13.99 on amazon. so will be expensive an phone for me :p
might even splash out on the Nokia 1 smart phone, if its on a black Friday thingy for less than £40, currently £58. just so I can get the o2 priority free things. like those socks from last week
XS Max 256GB, no plans to update for a couple years, the only problem with it is that it can get a little hot.
iPhone XS Max, very happy with it
samsung galaxy s9+ 64GB
One+3T 128GB is my main phone though at work i use an ageing HTC windows phone 8 as in my job its easy to damage a phone.
Looked at the One+6T but its not going to give me anything i need that the 3T does not already give.
Like the look of the Mate20X which could also replace my ageing Samsung S2 tablet as well as my phone but it depends if it becomes available in the UK and at what price.
Not used one for over 5 years and am happier for it. The one downside is online accounts sometimes wanting 2 factor authentication these days.. example= steam.
Motorola Moto X Play.
It's served me well in the time that I've had it and continues to do so, although if the right deal on a new phone that I felt worth upgrading to came along, I'd be happy to switch to it.
Huawei P8 Lite 2017 (Android 7.0/Nougat). It does the job pretty well.. Has a 12MP/4K capable camera at least for still pictures. It was an upgrade from a Nokia Lumia 620 (Windows Phone 8.1) which I had had for 5 years.. It was a shame to see Windows Phone die off.. the OS still looks and feels very slick and fresh.
I am still using my original Moto G that I paid £90 for. It does everything I need and it won't be replaced until it dies.
S5 Neo.. Feeling it's age and having horrendous connection problems, most of which I suspect are software based (whether deliberate or not). Battery and screen fine. Camera is less so. Performance is ok besides that. Cannot justify the cost of upgrading and would not get another 'top tier' phone. Simply no point.
Still on my OnePlus 5, it's only a year old, it still performs well. If I can make it to the post-notch era with it, I'll be all the more happy.
Nokia 8, it's the best phone that I have used. Clean android interface, none of the bloat, decent enough camera and good overall performance. No plans to upgrade any time soon unless I won a phone like the Pixel 3 haha.
Pixel 2 XL 128gb. Only upgraded due to not getting any updates on my LG G4. I will keep this phone for minimum 3 years. Best phone I have ever had. Very responsive and quick updates.
I hope people boycott the price increases as I don't want to spend over £1k on my next phone. I felt I already paid a high price for my current phone.
Galaxy S9 here - no plus. And happy at least till the Galaxy S10 or SX or whatever it's called arrives
Xiaomi mi A1 4/64. No plan to change for now.
iPhone 8+
Wanted a bigger screen and had gotten sick of the Sony Xperia line and chronic late software updates, so changed over to Apple.
Must admit like the phone and it does exactly what I want it to
Vodafone n8 smart-ish lol , not a big phone fan .
Nokia 6.1 Plus.
Wasn't getting any security/OS updates on my Moto G4 Plus so made the switch.
It's already running Android 9.0 - will keep it until the 3 years of security updates run out...
I have a Note 4 & LG V20. I will not be upgrading for the foreseeable future. The prices keep me away from upgrading.
Huawei P8, no plan to change as it still does everything needed, will change it when it either breaks or stops doing what needed.
iPhone X. Very happy with it. Upgraded from an iPhone 6 because the WiFi chip inside started to become faulty.
I just noticed that the "T" is missing from "QOTW".
Not a big deal admittedly, but it can't help but look odd to me now that I've realised.
Still using my iPhone 5S. Still working absolutely fine. I'm dubious about "upgrading" to a phone that has more glass than it really needs (like on the back), otherwise I probably would have a new iPhone by now.
Currenf mobile phone? Ummm, none.
Eyeing a new model? Not unless I can find something, at an acceptable price, that meets my concerns re: privacy, etc.
Truth is, I do not need a mobile phone at all, and for me there are probably more reasons for not having one than for having one.
Maybe I'll have a wild moment and give in and buy one. I advise against holding your breath, though. One reason is that the sort of spec snd quality I'd like is going to come with a orice-tag I definitely souldn't pay, given my minimal and sporadic usage expectations.
Blackberry Passport Silver version
oneplus 3t, impressed by the camera on the new samsungs but this will do for another year or two then I'll see what is available
I'm using the Samsung Galaxy S8. Given the annoying camera issues I've only recently started having (the focus on the phone gets stuck and you need to tap the phone to get it to refocus properly), I'd rather have a different phone.
Given the issues with the Pixel phones, I'm not sure that I could really use one of them either, which effectively means, to replace my phone going forward, I'm going to have to save up the money and buy one outright, rather than getting one on contract (as the contract options are rather limited at my telco).
Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus
No.
I don't know when you last asked, but I've had this phone for just over 18 monthsQuote:

Damn. Now, where'd the wife tidy my drawing board to? Ah, got it. Behind the vacuum cleaner. I'll take that asca hint.
I use a beat up old S5 and will be upgrading to an Honor Magic 10 hopefully in the near future
Got a Pixel 3 just after release. Vodafone Australia had a pre-order deal for the phone on a plan that cut the plan price by $9/mth whilst giving extra data. Phone itself is pretty nice and I've luckily not had any of the reported issues.
Was using the Huawei P9 before that for two years. Still a decent phone but despite it being a previous flagship phone, it's stuck on Android Nougat (v7) and the battery management was a little funky.
Nokia 808 PureView. Chose it because I was tired of not having a good camera around when the good opportunities for photos came up. That was back in 2014, when the 808 was already a couple years old and the platform was already burning. But I knew that and was okay with it. Wasn't looking to run a thousand apps.
I'd rate it 4 out of 5 stars, with the consideration that the platform has burnt. Great pictures, great DAC, OLED screen that looks great, if a bit low-res, replaceable battery, expandable storage.
I'll have to upgrade when 3.5G is disabled, but I doubt I will until a couple months before that.
Poco F1...so cheap for what it does.
I got a galaxy s2 a loooong time ago but found that I didn't really use it so haven't upgraded to anything. I don't even know what I'd upgrade to if I did, Xiaomi note 5/6 seem to be pretty cost effective for at the low end, but then there are the one plus models and higher end phones after they're dropped in price that can also be tempting if I were to use it more. Particularly for a camera that's always on you, I haven't really taken pictures in the last decade which is kind of a shame to not look back on your memories. But yeah, currently not a high priority.
To paraphrase my answer of 22/04/17 when this question was last posed: Motorola G 4G (XT1039). Had it since 26/12/14 and when it gives up the ghost, I'll not be spending any more than £150 to £200 tops on it's replacement, whatever the best value make & model is at the time. I don't need it to do anything beyond texting, a couple of hours worth of internet access a week (for bus journeys home from work) and maybe 2 or 3 voice calls a month.
Google Pixel 128Gb. Got the latest OS, got the latest camera with night mode. Does everything really well. Paid £200 early this year and can't see myself upgrading until at least 2020 given how happy I am with it. Also got a warranty replacement on my second hand purchase as it developed a motherboard fault causing random reboots. New phone is in mint condition as a result (it was brand new, with original OS install circa original release with intact seal). Not as light as the Nexus 5, but 100% the best phone and camera phone I've ever had. Love the grippy official cases too, which I picked up for £10 on Ebay :)
Pixel 2 XL, best phone I have ever used. Don't see any reason to change.
Currently using Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro Prime, have been looking at the newer Xiaomi phones, probably won't be getting one until after xmas
LG G5
(with addon camera grip adding ~+50% battery capacity)
Seemingly the last western flagship phone with a user replaceable battery, a feature that has saved my bacon on several occaisions.
I'm loath to replace it at all to be honest, as performance-wise it's more than fine and it has a recent fresh battery installed. But the OLED display is degrading and has several blotches of washed-out high brightness areas recently.
Maybe new phone time or attempting a screen replacement, not sure yet :P
But it seems even if replaceable batteries are a rarity, phones with decent capacity batteries are available if you import from China, which i may be doing for my next phone...
Wileyfox swift 2 that I got as a big discount on due to scratch on back from Amazon. I can't afford to replace but to be honest it's good enough. It's made me realize the £300ish I used to spend on new phones was wasted.
I recently upgraded from a Galaxy S4 Mini to an Xperia Z5 Compact. The new phone is unfortunately larger and heavier (which I occasionally notice) and some aspects of the UI bother me at times (possibly they're tweakable, haven't tried), but I got used to it. On the plus side battery lasts longer (3 days vs. 2 days on the S4 Mini). It also has better hardware and a newer OS, which has its minor benefits. I don't use the phone much, and only thought of upgrading the old one because on a trip abroad I found that browsing with it was a pain. Normally I only use it as a phone and for WhatsApp, which worked fine before. I occasionally (though rarely) also use the camera, and I guess the Sony's better camera will make a difference.
Google Pixel 2 XL. Love it won't change any time soon.
Oneplus 5 has served me well for the last 18 months but I'm awaiting delivery of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro now. If Oneplus added wireless charging I would have stayed with them.
Mate 20 Pro, considering its about 2 weeks old not considering a different model
Lumia 925. The only reason to replace it would be if the Kindle reader stopped working on it.
I'm using a Kodak Ektra, which I bought on impulse because it was $100 on clearance and it has really nice specs for that price. (The mixed reviews are from when it was $400 or more.) It's also quite distinctive looking, as far as Android phones go, but don't be fooled by the giant circle of glass on the back: the camera isn't super and doesn't do optical zoom.
My main problems with it right now are that it randomly heats up in my pocket and I'm not sure the NFC actually works, because I can't get Google Pay to trigger off POS terminals (except once, when I got an error) but I haven't bothered to really try to investigate it because I doubt it's still under warranty and even if it is I don't want Bullitt (the OEM) sending me someone else's scratched up phone in exchange. But the display is nice and I love having 3GB ram instead of 1. To give you an idea of my usual budget and hardware level, my previous phone was a "free" LG K120 I got from Cricket.
It's going to be a while before I feel it's worth upgrading again, even with the flaws, unless I damage it, which is possible because there's no good cheap case for it.
NONE for now. LOL. Haven't had a useless time waster, er, umm, phone I mean, in ~5yrs. Yeah, I get more done now ;) Oh and save tons of money :)
That said, one is in my future at some point, just don't care right now. Hoping NV will get back in at 7nm with an intel modem (or whoever) as integrating them then wouldn't matter if it's not yours even off chip (intel/samsung will sell you one cheaper than Qcom). Power drops quite a bit at 7nm I'm guessing and I want a better gpu in my phone! GAMES, GAMES! I'll probably just buy a 13in tablet instead when someone decides to make a good one again to compete with apples new 13in (cmon NV, put out a tablet for gamers again at 7nm!).
Heck I'd rather buy a 7nm based ShieldTV if they get off their butts and make one of those too. I have a great PC, I want android gaming next for side fun. A lot of great games on android I really want to play (have a list of over 100) and growing yearly. Just don't like devices yet. I need a bigger tablet (13in+, our 10in sucks), better gpu gaming centric phone, or 7nm shieldtv unit. They just don't have what I want this year for xmas. Oh, or 27in+ 1600p monitor with gsync or freesync. Cmon dell! ~$1050 for a 30in 1600p from Dell with neither freesync/gsync. Whatever. Sad the only thing I'm buying this xmas it seems is new rokus for 2 tvs (that have roku2 on them still...ugh) and SSD upgrades to 1tb for pc's in the house. OH well. Everything else is delayed until 7nm period. I refuse to buy 14/12/10nm (intel not till 2020 10nm so AMD soon 7nm for me) anything now knowing 7nm around the block Q1 etc. 7nm gpu in my future and a cpu as well, but again, get with it! Toys suck this year for techies IMHO. I don't count apple, they're against my religion...LOL.
Samsung S7, had it 2 years and very happy with it.
I have Iphone 6s and Samsung S7 that I am more than happy with.
Used to buy new models as they got out, but not anymore.
Motorola X4
Can't really afford to as I've only had it 6 months, though it's really annoying me.
It's probably the last Motorolla I'll ever buy.
It does most ancillary things perfectly fine except I'm always missing messages and notifications due to the Live Display which in principal I like, but they decided to omit a simple flashing LED notification - which I don't.
Notifications are horrendously unreliable and often don't popup on the Live Display or indicate in any way that I have a message to respond to. I only find out when I fully unlock the phone and switch to that app (text or whatsapp).
Additionally, sometimes it vibrates and sounds when I get a message, other times it does not so I can't even rely on that.
I'll certainly never buy another phone without a simple notification light, that lesson has been learnt.
OnePlus 3 is still kicking, will consider upgrading next year or after, no need given technology in battery tech is still stagnant
OnePlus 5T, got about a year ago.
Might still have been using the OnePlus One (flashed with Lineage OS, now up to Android 8.1 at least) if the microphones hadn't gone on the old champ. Got 3 years from that one.
So no, no plans to upgrade, planning to see how long this one can last, take it to the end of its road, signs are good so far.
Dash Charge is super. Good battery life. Generally fast as anything. Takes good photos for me. All the stuffs work. Regular updates (Pie still waiting though). Smart looks. No notch.
Using a IPhone 6S that has been issued by my work. 1st iPhone I have ever used as was android for many years.
Not going to turn down a free phone with not cost to me.
Wish it was a 6S plus. I have fat fingers.
Galaxy S8, baby! One of the best and I love it.
Not looking at upgrading until something revolutionary comes along. Or in another 2-3-4 years depending on how Android loads down as it ages.
Same handset as last time this question got asked.
I spent a little more on a better device because a better device typically lasts longer, so until I have to change my device, I see no reason to follow the Apple-sheeple pattern of upgrading every year or 18 months.

Short short, it works, so why upgrade? :)
I have an iPhone 7. It's a work phone so I didnt get any choice in it. To be fair it's a good phone and fast. I know the OS is not as good as Android, but it's good enough for me.
