Re: Nvidia Titan RTX: 130 TFLOPS of deep learning performance
It's a Quadro RTX6000 with an artificial lockout so it can't be used in datacentres and other specific workloads.
Call it what it is Mark, don't give Nvidia any more space and lip service than is necessary.
Article title should have been "Nvidia release Consumer orientated Quadro RTX6000". Because the specs are pretty much exactly the same, the lockout is the only reason why owners of the Quadro RTX6000 aren't foaming at the mouth.

PhysX opensourced too from a quick look on Twitter.
Re: Nvidia Titan RTX: 130 TFLOPS of deep learning performance
$2,499 Nvidia Titan RTX: for consumers that go full retard!

To be fair, THIS is what Turing is about, not the gaming stuff. This is where the money is.
And it's probably going to be pretty impressive.

Isn't it a bit late for that? Consigned to the garbage bucket of history along with active glasses 3D monitors.
I wonder if those RTX tensor units could be bent to do physx...
Re: Nvidia Titan RTX: 130 TFLOPS of deep learning performance
so at a guess 10% perf gain for double the price of a 2080Ti. I can see how they thought the 20 series was well priced now
Re: Nvidia Titan RTX: 130 TFLOPS of deep learning performance
how will those tensor and RT cores help 3DSmax/ Blender etc?

Unless you are doing deep learning with a 20GB data set. OFC if you have a 30GB data set, back to square one as it won't fit again :)

They won't. I still think the tensor cores should be on their own card.

I agree entirely, it should have been an add in card that was optional to purchase and could have worked with pascal and possibly other generations, however there are all the aditional costs behind that (another however to that point would be that nVidia would have been able to get more develpers, small film production companies, in their pocket)
Re: Nvidia Titan RTX: 130 TFLOPS of deep learning performance
The only thing the RTX series does is open up a new generation of computer gaming that utilises the RTX hardware.
