None if they keep adding notches!
None if they keep adding notches!
When mine stops working, I'll think about it. Likely another Apple phone though. Definitely never touching a Sony again.
Miss my Note - dunno about a Note 10 or X though as I actually like my S9 a lot
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
Just bought a motorola moto g6 play, to replace my 12 year old phone, since i need a new one for when i get the renault zoe
Probably the high-end Sony one, but only when my current one starts dying. As long as they keep the high quality parts in and the useless crap out of it.
I used to get the OnePlus phones back in the day, when they were quite cheap. I'm not saying they aren't good value now, but I simply don't need 8GB of RAM or the other really high specifications and they don't have much of an entry-level option anymore. It'll probably be the next Moto G (currently on the G6 Plus, which has been great!)
Probably another iPhone 6S since that was the last model they made with a headphone jack and it's not looking very likely that they'll reverse the course of phone manufacturing as they so bravely did before.
Probably another OnePlus - just bought the 6t for my son's Xmas and it looks like a great phone. My 3t is still going strong atm though.
Have a S9+
Ready for the S10+
I'm waiting for an iPhone 7/Plus to drop below £200. Not interested in the X. Phone upgrades are a very low priority for me though since I haven't upgraded in 8 years. Doing just fine atm.
No current plans to upgrade - I'll replace my current phone when it breaks.
I can almost guarantee it won't be an iPhone though, as my budget will be £150-200
Got an Honor View 10, for £280 in the Black Friday sales Replaced an ageing S5. Good build quality. Great specs. Headphone jack. No notch! Battery also lasts pretty well; I almost got to 3 days, the other day, with very light usage. Very happy with it, so far. If it lasts me 3+ years I'll be quite happy.
Choice is so, so limited at the moment if you want to remain notch free - and i've seen disappointing news from Samsung leaks this week that implies they have also given in now and will have a hole in the screen of the S10 too I still hold out hope though.
So currently I don't see my changing my S9. When upgrade time comes around in June i'll look at which of the flagships don't have a notch/hole, and retain the all important headphone jack and if there is one, they can have my money. If there isn't, then i'll likely just keep my S9 until common sense resumes and we see a flagship with the basic features of an unbroken screen and headphone jack
I am not currently in the market for a new phone. I have had my pixel 2 xl for just over a year and intend to keep it for at least another 2 years. I paid the extra for a pixel phone to get the fast updates. I really hope that the smartphone flagship prices hit a breakpoint as it is getting stupid now. The pixel 2 xl 128gb was rather expensive when I got it and now the 3 xl is even more expensive. I thought £350 was expensive when I got my nexus 5 back in 2013 I think it was?
market for responsive, small, ideally cheap productivity / browsing machines - the netbook fad a while back demonstrated that, it's just they were a little too meh. Get that package with more modern designs, flagship phone responsiveness, fast storage and always on internet and people will lap it up. A lot of people on here might not find it appealing but
