Definitely agree with Subnautica - been playing it through Early Access for years and never stopped enjoying it!

Really looking forward to the 'expansion' (though I think it's being made as an entirely separate game, which is a bit of a shame).

Out of the 2018 releases I've played so far, I have put the most hours into Forza Horizon 4. Still playing it in December due to a steady stream of content.

Forza isn't console only. I don't own a console and I've been playing it quite happily on my PC.

Assuming the definition isn't restricted to "released" in 2018 then its still fairly simple - PUBG is still my favourite game on PC and has been since it went into early access.

Other Battle Royale style games like Fortnite, and blackout, have tried...and whilst both of those are fun games in their own right (i've still sunk 30-40 hours into blackout, less so into fornite as I hate the building aspect and locked 3rd person view)...but none have yet bested the feel, tension and sheer addictiveness of PUBG.

If you have to lock it to games released in 2018, then Two Point Hospital takes my vote. A simply brilliant remake of a true classic, and sales have been good enough that the team are looking to bring out a similar remake of Theme Park too. There are even rumours of a Dungeon Keeper version but im not as sure that's needed, given that we have "War for the Overworld" to fill that slot!

Released this year Frostpunk is my standout game.
Also this year enjoyed Two Point Hospital (great for Theme Hospital fans).

Games I played most this year are PUBG, R6 Siege, Far Cry 5, Aven Colony, and Bioshock Remastered.

Least favourite games this year.
Far Cry 5, BF V.
I played FC5 simply because I made the biggest mistake in pre ordering it. For me the story is god awful and they shouldn't have bothered with a half baked co-op mode. I won't be picking up New Dawn obviously which quite clearly should have been the DLC of FC5 not the lard we received.
The problem with BF V is that it isn't any better than 1 and constantly found myself going back to BF 1 and BF 4. Every aspect is lacking for me in V.
