My Denon x3400. So much improvement, even going just one notch up from my previous amp.

The influx of cheap (or relatively much cheaper than before) 4k projectors. This has really reduced the barrier of entry and I got an Optoma UHD40 which looks stunning.

Think rather than best tech , you should have asked best tech for the money , because I can't think of a single one that I didn't think was overpriced this year .

This has made intel step up its game and made budget PC builders have a good CPU to put in there system

The Moto G6 Plus. It's the only decent budget phone I've been able to find from a well-known manufacturer that isn't moving towards the ridiculously high spec (like OnePlus) and therefore remains affordable.

Even though I bought all brand new components for a new gaming rig, the best thing is the pair of Adam T5V studio monitors I got to go with it.

The sound they produce is exceptional.

Probably my Ryzen 5 2400G, although not the most powerful, it runs Civilization 6 at maximum settings at 1080p with no drop below 60fps. It manages quite a few Total War games at decent settings too plus other games. The AM4 board allows me to upgrade if need be in future too.

Spry - a waterproof drone.
Which when it ships in 2019 will finally let my worry about landing/crashing in the water be a thing of the past.
