Re: Nvidia announces G-Sync Compatible experience logo
I guess they had to release this feature before Intel, or people would point and laugh. Mind you, I still think this shows a total disrespect for their customers.

Nah, they will have had this running for a very very long time. Just not included in builds going out to the punters. They may well release further driver in the future where they claim to have fixed problems inherent with Freesync though.
Re: Nvidia announces G-Sync Compatible experience logo
This is great news for the gaming market to be honest. NVIDIAs G-Sync will likely still offer a better experience, but the differences aren't going to be massive unless you invest in one of those G-Sync Ultimate panels.
I know a couple of people who already own one of the twelve displays that have been validated and they're over the moon.

I don't mind the idea that G-Sync requires a level of compliance testing and becomes a badge of excellence. Tearing should be a almost thing of the past by now, but there will always be cheaper and better ranges of monitors and a quality badge would be welcome.
Is there any mention that Nvidia are adopting Freesync over HDMI? I didn't check but I presume the ones in the approved list are all displayport.
